CASE OF JOHN GREY.
EXTRADITION PAPERS ARRIVE

Extradition papers in connection with the arrest of John G rey, the land agent who was arrested at Helensvillc on September 25 and charged .under the names of A. B. Crouch and J. M. Cameron with being' a fugitive criminal within the Extradition Act, 1870, a. warrant for arrest on the charge of forgery having been issued in, the State of Texas in 1010, arrived in Wellington by the Tahiti on Tuesday. The papers were sent to the 'Consul-General for America in Wellington, and were forwarded to the American Consul in Auckland, Mr. W. F. Boyle, who yesterday handed them to the Crown Solicitor.
Grey appeared before Air. F. Iv. Hunt, S.M., in the Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday, but as the extradition papers had not arrived he was further remanded until next Wednesday in custody.
