■' Intimation that arrangements have been made to employ a considerable number of Palmerston North men on works not far distant from the town was received by the Mayor of Palmerston North (AH. A. ,T. Graham) yesterday. The Prime Minister’s office advised that . the men would be selected by the Labour Department from registrations at the Palmerston North bureau.

j As previously announced, all men desirous of obtaining employ on Government works will have to register at the local bureau, or where there is no bureau at the local post offijee.
