The Department of ..Agriculture has received the following ’ cablegrain, dated sth instant, from the High Commissioner for New Zealand, London:— Hemp; —Manila again easier. Closing values for “J” grade Oe-tober-December shipments £35. Sisal: —Market continues very quiet and trade shows no interest, Sellers quote fair average quality No. 1, £39; good marks, £4O 5/-; No. 2, £37 15/- and £3B 10/- respectively. Buyers about 10/- less.
New Zealand maitket dull and •tendency easier. Offers made more freely from Dominion, but buyers holding back. Small business has been done in high points, £34; fair, £3l. Comparative closing values,, high points, £34; fair, £3l; common, £29 10/-; tow, 2nd grade, £2l; 3rd grade, £l7 10/-'; October-De-cc-inber shipments. <,
