UNITED SPORTS ASSOCIATION
. COMMITTEE MEETING. A committee meeting of the Foxton .United Sports Association was held in the Racing (Club’s office last night, presided ovejr by Mr. W. T. Jewell (President). Also present were Messrs R. Dry ant, W. J. Ross, W. Jewell, D. R. Barron, H. Harney, D. Christie, J. Barber, W. E. Bartier, R.. Warwick, J. M. Thomson and the secretary (Mr. L. Couch). Apologies were received from Messrs A. Brook-Taylor, M. E. Perreau, S. Austin and S. Barber. It was decided to make arrangements for a ladies’ cloalk room at the course on Labour Day. Mrs. J. Walls tender was accepted for the catering, for the meeting. Messrs W. R. Thompson, G. Wall-button and G. Cull were elected new members. Messrs D. Christie, W. Thompson and 11. Hamer were deputed to co-operate with the racecourse caretaker on sports day in the safe guarding of the Racing Club’s property. Six nominations have already boon received for the sports. Word was received that Mr Percy Coleman would endeavour to lower his own grass track record on the local course on the day of ithe sports.
