FOXTON LUNCH CLUB.

Mr. F. C. Raikes, of Groua Downs was the speaker at the monthly meeting of the Foxten Lunch Club held in Whyte’s Hotel to-day. Mr. M. B. Bergin was in the Chair and introduced the speaker. Also present were Messrs A. E. Scott, W. Trueman, G. M. Hewett, J. A. Aitchison, H. E. Ganbett, J. Martin, F. H. Murray, R. Sorbie, J. K, Horniblow, H. Redd, R. J. Thompson, W. H. Nicholas, IS. H. Poole, D. IC'hristie, W. E. Bullard, J. Newton, D. R. Ogilvy and the secretary Mr. I. Corn. Mr. H. R. C-ata, of Wellington, was a visitor. Apologies for absence were received from Messrs Edmondson and S. Mattar. Mr. Raikes took for his subject “The Busy Bee” and gave an interesting -talk on the habits of the bee.
