In a few minutes several other dogs in the vicinity had joined in and a proper dog mix-up ensued. The howling, snapping bunch got dangerously near the group on the corner and -caused the feminine members to become frightened. Squeals could be beard above the snarls of the canine combatants. One of the girls dashed into the doorway of the corner ’ shop for safety but, unfortunately, the dog getting the worst of the argument also chose this haven.
