RAZOR WARFARE IN CHRISTCHURCH.
WIFE ALLEGED ASSAILANT.
Christchurch, Sept. 30,
Alleging' that he had been attacked by his wife with a-' razor, G. E. St. George, aged 40, a postal official living at 25 Melrose Street in the city, was admitted to hospital early this morning suffering from fairly severe wounds on the face, neck and arms. Subsequently Mrs. Bt. George was also sent to hospital -suffering from similar wounds. Both -are making progress.
A who was aroused by knocking at 1.30 a.m!, found Mr. 'St. George on the doorstep, clad in his pyjamas, with .blood sUreaming from wounds on his face, neck and anus. He asked that the police he sent for, alleging that his wife had attacked him with a razor after a domestic quarrel. The neighbour then investigated and found Mrs. St, George also suffering from minor wounds.
The police weire sent for and the couple. Avere taken to hospital. The Avoman was only discharged from hospital on 'Sunday morning after treatment for illness.
There is one child, a boy of -six. The neighbours state that the relations betAveen the tAvo had been strained for some time.
