OBITUARY
DR. ELIZABETH PRETORIA •HALL —AGED 2!) YEARS.
It is with sincere regret that we ehronicle the death of Dr. Elizabeth Pretoria Hall, which occurred at Gisborne, at about 5 o’clock on Thursday morning, at the early age of 29 years. Mrs. Hall Avas the daughter of Mr. Percy Lunisden, late of the Mnnawatu Hotel, Foxton. “Bessie,” as she was familiarly known to her schoolmates, received her primary education at Hie local school where she \vas a-promising pupil and continued her secondary education at the Palmerston North High School and Wanganui Girls’ College, where she matriculated and gained her medical preliminary. She decided upon a medical career and completed her medical course at: the Otago University. Her first appointment was in charge of the Mental Hospital 1 at Hornsby, Christchurch. About (txvo years ago she married Dr. Richard Hall, superintendent of the Gisborne Hospital, and in conjunction with her husband continued in the practice of he(r profession with marked ability. About a Aveek before her death’ she gave birth to a baby daughter. Deceased’s sympathetic and kindly nature endeared her to all AA’ith whom she come in contact and A\ T e join Avith the (Foxton public in extending our heartfelt sympathy to. the bereaved husband and deceased’s father and family in their bereavement, and at the same time deplore the loss of such a promising and enthusiastic member of the medical profession.
