Wiellington met Wanganui at Wanganui yesterday under wretched conditions, rain faljing for three-quarters of the period of play. The ball was greasy but. the ground in fairly good order. The visiting team revealed an nll-roimd superiority, though Wanganui, especially in the first half was brilliant at times. The final sc-ore was 27 —19, though the home side led 11 —5 at half time. From this point, Wlellington put on 15 points. Then Wanganui took a turn and brought the score to 19 —20. In the last stages, Wellington came again and with a potted goal to finish, walked off victorious by 27 points to 19.
