SHIPPING.

The s.s. Ilinialangi was in port on Saturday and left for Wellington on Saturday night’s tide. The s.s. Himatangi will possibly •take a shipment of fat stock to Lyttelton on its next visit to Foxton.

The s.s. Himatangi is expected back towards the end of the week. The m.v. “Foxton" arrived in port yesterday, and it is anticipated will leave for Wellington on the evening tide, where she will pick up cargo for Foxton on her way to Lyttelton, will load at the latter port on the 4th inst, arriving at Foxton again on the fvth inst, circumstances perm ill ing. It is many years since there has been such activity at the port. The harbour shed is kept well filled and a number of men are finding employment on .the waterfront.
