John MaxAvell Morison, a boy of four, was electrocuted this morning in the home of his parents at Morison’s Bush. * From evidence at the inquest it appeared the child turned on an electric sAA r itch Avliile holding the wires of an oven-heating element in an electric range. The Coroner (Mr J. Miller, S.M.) added to the verdict that the child had met its death through shock from an electric range the statement that there Avas not sufficient warning to users that in certain circumstances the handling of the range might be fatal. Sellers of such ranges should take sleps to Avarn purchasers. The Coroner also recommended the Public Works Department to frame regulations requiring the protective plate over the range elements to he scrcAved so that young children could not lift it.
