Airs. E. V. West and her sons intend spending the school vacation at Foxton Beach.

Aliss N. Anion, of Plimmerton, is at present on holiday in Foxton as the guest of Airs. R. Hornblow.

The local friends of Mr. R. B. Symes will be pleased to learn that he has'gained the degree of Associate of the Incorporated Australian Insurance Institute.

During- the week-end Captain Hays and Air. Guthrie of the Fisheries Department visited Foxton, and were conducted over the river and drain at Manawatu Heads. Their inspection was made in connection with the recent resolutions passed by the public meeting held at the Beach in reference to the proposed whitebait regulations.
