WEDDING.
SHAILER'—'BURDIN G,
A very pretty and interesting wedding was solemnised in the Methodist Church yesterday, when Leslie Charles, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Similar, and Mary Maud, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. A. Burling, both of Oroua (Downs, were united in matrimony, the Rev. J. H. Edmondson 1 officiating. The bride entered the church on the arm of her father while the congregation sang the hymn, “The s Voice that Breathed o’er Eden.” The bride wore a charming dress of headed georgette with veil and orange blossom, and carried a bouquet of freesias, June roses and maiden hair fern. The bridesmaids were Miss Thelma Robertson, of Bainesse, and Miss Clara Gates, both of Avhom wore dresses of georgette. Mk’. Lionel Burling acted as best man and Mr. Albert Shailer as groomsman. The reception was afterwards held in Oroua Downs hall, when ovef 100 guests Avere present. ReA r . J. H. Edmondson presided and the usual toasts were honoured.
