At last night’s Borough Council meeting accounts amounting 1o £1954 5/10 were passed for payment.
At last night's Borough Council meeting iCr. R. J. Thompson reported that the road staff was -making a. very good job of levelling a parking area- outside the Cemetery. The sand had been blinded with scrapings and was settling down well.
Those present at last night’s Borough Council meeting, were the Mayor (Mr. M. E. Perreau) and Crs. 'R. Rangiheuea, D. R. Barron, F. Robinson,OS. E. Cowley, R. -J. Thompson, >C. Rand, and John Ross. Apologies for absence were received from'Crs. A. R. Crowe and F. Lueinsky.
At last night’s Borough Council meeting the poundkeepek (Mr. W. Neville) reported that during the 'month six head 'of stock were impounded and driving fees to the amount of 5/- collected. The number of stock impounded from April Ist 1928 to March 31st 1929, is as follows: —Manawatu County Council :—July, 3; August, 24; September, 1; October, 3; November, 2; a total of 33.. Foxton Borough Council April, 7; May, 12; June, 23; July, 21; August, 14; September, 6; October, 25; November, 4; 'December, 3; January, 5; February, 8; March, 4; a total of 132.
