PUBLIC TRUST OFFICE.
'STATEMENT FOR JUNE. The following particulars of the loan transactions of the Public Trust Office and new business reported during the month ended 30ta June, .1929, have been supplied by the Right Hon. the Prime Minister. The amount paid out in settlement of new loans \\ r as £14(3,583. Further neAv loans Avere granted to the amount of £63,825, and the total of neAV loans now awaiting completion is £459,735, Avhile offers of loans less than the full amounts applied for amount to £111,090, a total of £570,825. Renewals of 38 loans amounting to £175,994' were also authorised. Applications for additional new loans amounting to £288,899 are now under consideration. Estates of a A’alue of £822,450 were reported and accepted, for administration during the .month, making the new business for the quarter ended 30th June, 1929, £2,378,599, Avhich is over £600,000 more than the figure for the same quarter in the pro year. On the. 31st; March last the total value of the estates under administration Avas £48,334,790. X Grants of administration made by the Court in favour of the Public Trustee numbered 111 for the month. During 'the month 540 new wills appointing the Public Trustee executor were deposited for safe custody with the Public Trustee by living testators, and the total number now held is 64,177 representing an estimated present lvalue of £250,000,000.
