♦ ALLEGED TO HAVE HAD A QUARREL WITH iGIRL. 'Carterton, This Day. A youth named Roy Chapman, son of Mrs. S. Swan, and aged 18, was found shot at an early’ hour this morning in a. stable 100 yards from the house. The youth had been to a dance at Kopuaranga, and it is alleged that he had a tiff with n girl. It is reported that lie shook hands with his friends, intimating that they would not see him again. He came home at 3 a.m. His mother and bis brother both beard a shot , and went to investigate, and they found (be lad lying dead in the stable, with a shot-gun alongside him.
