BATH BUILDINGS AS DRESSING SHED.
PERMISSION GRANTED BY COUNCIL.
The Mayor (Mr. M- E. Perreau) at last night’s' Borough 'Council meeting, said that a. suggestion had been placed before him that the Counleil should grant footballers using Easton Park the -use of the baths building for the purpose of dressing in. He saw no reason why this request could not be acceded to providing the cubicles were looked after by those using them. 'There was no pavilion on the park and as there was a good deal of football played there now it would greatly add to the ctomfort of the playelrs if they had some dressing accommodation.
Cr. Robinson said all the accommodation the players had to dress in at present was a loose-box at the rear of the Post Office Hotel. If permission was granted to use the baths he would guarantee to see that no damage was done and that the players conducted themselves properly. Cr. Roore said the Club would have to be responsible for any damage done in the event of permission being granted. |CV. Robinson undertook that responsibility. All the Councillors present spoke in support of the request and it was decided to grant the Club permission to use the building- provided they took the responsibility in the event of any damage being done.
