SOCIAL EVENINGS.

PRESBYTERIAN BIBLE CLASS

A very enjoyable time was spent in the Presbyterian schoolroom last evening. Games were played including “musical arms,” while a gift parcels, with their multiplicity of wrappers, caused much merriment. A tasty supper was served by the members of the Boys’ Bible class.

Air. Nicholas briefly outlined the object 'of the Bible class, and he referred to the fact that the class was undenominational and welcomed any boy or girl not attending any other Sunday school. The boy or girl could belong to another church, and yet attend the Bible class without letting such attendance interfere with his or bar religious duties. During the evening a duet was rendered by Alisses AI. Hughes and AI. Barron, who had to respond to an encore while Aliss Stephenson contributed an elocutionary item. Competitions were won by Air A. Martin, Maurice Baird, Air Howe, Alisses Aitchison, Aloore and Wishart.

Air. Alurphy thanked the boys of the Bible class on behalf of the visitors for the pleasant time which they had given them ,and Aliss AI. Barron on behalf of the Girls’ Bible 'Class, extended an invitation to all to attend a social Which will be given in a month’s time. The evening terminated with the singing of “Auld Lang Syne.” ' Credit is due to the boys of the Bible class for their neat decoration of the schoolroom for the occasion. ALL SAINTS’ SOCIAL. A very pleasant social evening was held in All Saints’ schoolroom on Thursday evening. The hall was tastefully decorated fiir the occasion and the evening commenced with a waltz. Dancing was indulged in for the greater .part of the time by the ,younger .people while others engaged in cai’ds. Duning the evening Aliss Wilson contributed a song and Aliss W. Harris an elocutionary item. Air. W. Harris acted as AI.C. for the dance. A tasty supper was provided and an enjoyable time spent by all present. It is intended to ‘hold a seines of these social evenings throughout the winter.
