PERSONAL.
The silver jubilee of the priesthoocl of tike Bov. Father John Kelly, parish priest of St. Anne’s Church, Wellington 'South, was commemorated this morning hy a special service. Sympathetic reference was made by the Mayor (Mr. C. Blenfchorn), at .the meeting of Levin Borough Council, to the death of ]\tr. J. A. Perreau, father of Mr. M, E. Perreau, May or of Fox ton. A vote of condolence with the latter was passed in silence, the Council standing as a mark of respect. The Board of .Nomination in the Diocese of Wellington has made the following' appointment:—'The Rev. Pfederiiclk Maurice Kelnpthorne, Vicar of Pohangina Parochial district, to tie Vicar of KhandaJlak; the Rev. Helrbert Louis Barton Gloertz, Vicar of Eastbourne Parochial district- to (be Vicar of Pohangina; ike Riev. William Raine, Vicar of Carterton Parochial district, to ibe Vilcaa' of Eastbourne; the Rev. William Prank Stent, Vicar of Greytown, to he Vicar of Carterton; the Rev. D. E. Davies, Vicar of Opunake, to 'be Vicar of Greytown.
