POWER BOARD STAFF,
• SECRETARY RETIRES; MR, RAMSAY SUCCESSOR, The lie-organisation of the staff so far as it affects the position of its chief executive officer, was dealt with by the Ilorowhenua Power Board at its meeting on Tuesday. It was decided that the present secretary and treasurer, Mr. P. YV. Goldsmith, should retire on superannuation after the close of the present year. At date of retirement Mr. Goldsmith, who has been secretary to the Board since its inception in 1922, will have completed 24 years’ service in local body work.
The Board also decided to appoint its .present accountant, Mr. P. J. Ramsay, to the jposition of secretary and treasure!’ to the Board when Mr. Goldsmith vacates these offices. Mr. Ramsay has been with the Board since 1924, and was formerly Town Clerk of the Borough of Balclutha, and later of the Borough of Levin.
