OBITUARY.

MRS. ANNIE ROBINSON, AGED 57 YEARS.

The death occuirred in the Wairoa Hospital yesterday afternoon of a well-known ex-Foxton resident in the person of Mrs. Annie Robinson, wife of Mr. Peter Robinson. Deceased was born in London in 1872 and came out to New Zealand as a child with her parents, arriving in the Dominion some 55 -years ago. Deceased married Mr. Robinson in Paeroa in 1899 and for some time after settled in ‘Foxton where they resided for many years. During the influenza epidemic and the Great War the late Mrs. Robinson proved herself a most energetic wofikeir and assisted in Red Cross work as well as rendering much practical service during the epidemic. With the construction of the Mangahao works, Mr. and Mrs. Robinson and family removed to Mangahao where for a number of years Mr. Robinson was employed, removing to wiairoa only about five weeks ago. The late Mi’s. Robinson took seriously ill quite suddenly although she had been in indifferent health for the past two years, and failed to recover from an operation in that institution, passing away yesterday afternoon. Besides hejr husband deceased leaves a family of three daughters to mourn their loss. They are Mesdames S. Hulbert (Mangahao), L. Hoggard (Mangahao) and Lila Robinson (Wiairoa), and two grandchildren Master Hulbert and jMiss J. Hoggard. Mesdalnies H. A. Hussey and F. Procter (of Foxton) are sisters of deceased while another sister (Mrs. Andrews) (resides in Christchurch. The brothel’s are Messrs Hardy (Kaitaia, North Auckland), Edwin (Tiratn, Dannevirke), and Charles Quairterinain (Palmerston North). The funeral will take place tomorrow’, leaving Mrs. F. Procter’s residence, in Purcell Street, at 2 p.in. fojr the Foxton Cemetery. The Rov. W. 11.. Nicholas will he the officiating clergyman.
