BOXING.

Napier, June 19. A professional bout between Tomfiuy Donovan (8.10), of New Plymouth, and Sid North (8.4), of Australia, scheduled to go 15 rounds, ended sensationally in the fourth round, when Donovan fouled North, and the latter was awarded the decision. Donovan from the first gong hamlmiered North, who was unable to avoid bis damaging punches. In the third, North ireeled in pain from a low hit and the gong saved him. Donovan had the Australian groggy in the fourth, when suddenly he sank one low, which made North almost collapse. The verdict met with a mixed reception, but the foul was obvious.
