HOSPITAL ADMINISTRATION.
PRAISED BY KAIRANGA COUNTY COUNCIL. “This council has never criticised the administration,” Said Councillor Small at a meetng of the Kairanga County Council at Palmerston on Tuesday, referring to the last meeting of the Palmerston N. Boi’ough Council, at which it was reported that a -statement had been made that the (County Council was now criticising the Hospital Board’s administration. “I want the position made clear,” he said. “Twelve months ago the Kaimnga County Council could not agree with the Palmerston North Borough Council ii: its criticism of the hospital administration, but now it is accused of criticism. All that we are endeavouring to do is to obtain an increased Government subsidy for the hospital, an( i n ° fault has been found with the administration of the hospital’s affairs. This point should be made perfectly clear. The Palmerston North Borough Council’s request for support practically amounted to a vote of no confidence in the administration of the hospital.”
