SOCIAL AFTERNOON.
All Saints’ Ladies’ Social Guild held the |first social gathering of the season yesterday afternoon, when, despite the adverse weather •conditions, there was a good attendance. During' the afternoon, songs were contributed by Mrs. John Robinson and Miss K. Martin, accompaniments being played by Mass Nancy Robinson and Mil's. Carmont. 'Several competitions were indulged in, the winners being as follows -Pig competition, Miss Y. Easton; quoit throwing, Mgs. John Robinson; •mlotor-car competition, Miss Nancy Robinson. A very nice afternoon tea was served by the following ladies, who acted as hostesses: Mesdames. Walton, D. Christie, R. Easton, G. Tyer, John Robinson, and Timeman. The ladies intend holding another afternoon on the fourth Wednesday in July, when it is to be hoped that all church members and other friends will make an effort to attend. Apologies were received from several 'members and Mends who were unable to attend.
