S.M. COURT.

The 'monthly. sitting of the local S.M. Court was held this morning, .presided over by Mr. J. L. Stout, S.M.' A. V. Madden was convicted for driving a car without a license and fined 10/- and costs 10/-. .T. Raupi for riding a bicycle at right without a light, was fined 5/nnd 10/- costs. Judgment Was given for plaintiff in the following undefended cases: —G. Ruff'cll v. T. G. 'Stokes, £1 15s '' (1, costs 8/-. R. MicMuillian v. A. Charles £6 4s, costs 17/-. DEFENDED CIVIL CASES. R. McMuilian (Mr. Gordon) v. Hugh Jones (Mr. Bergiii) claim £3 4s 6d for board and liquor supplied. After evidence had been given by plaintiff and defendant judgment was given for £1 8s fid and costs 12/-. In the case R. McMuilian v. lames Connolly, claim £2l Is 9d, for board, eta, the case was adjourned to permit defendant to produce evidence to show that he was wolrking out of town during portion of the time charged for board.
