TARANAKI BURGLARIES.

£3OO STOLEN IN NEW PLYMOUTH. Now Plymouth, Last Night. The premises of C. C. Ward, Ltd., drapers, were entered on Friday night and just over £3OO was stolen. Next morning, the strongroom door and safe were found open, and Hie cash contents missing. There is nothing to indicate how the building was entered and it is thought clever burglars were at work. Only notes and coins were taken and all cheques left. Two ! ash registers were rifled without damage to the mechanism, showing that the thieves knew or discovered the combinations of the locks. It is now revealed a Hawera establishment was recently lobbed of goods and £DO.
