PRESBYTERIAN SOCIAL

The first of the winter series of socials, under the auspices of the Presbyterian Ladies’ Social Guild, was held in the schoolroom last evening and a most enjoyable time spent. The hostesses were Alesdames Poore, Reid, A. Stevenson, Nicholas guid -Miss Patterson. Competitions were won by Afesdames J. Thomson and John Ross, and AleSsrs Jiuld and Hayclock. Vocal items ware contributed by Alisses I. Patterson and Martin and Afessrs Couch and Barron, and a recitation by the Rev. Air. Nicholas. The accompaniments were played by Miss B. Patterson. A limerick competition created much merriment. A tasty supper was dispensed and a vote, of thanks accorded to the hostesses.
