On an investigation being made, extensive injuries to the man’s face and a bullet wound in the chest were found, which point to foul play. The police are reticent in the matter. The inspector and deteclives are expected Ho-day. The bullet wound was not discovered till the body was admitted to the morgue. Two shirts were on the body. The outside one had no bullet- hole and must have been buttoned up after the shot was fired. The body was found by another road worker, named Scotty Lappin.
