WOMAN AND A REVOLVER.
* A FRANKTON INCIDENT. Hamilton, Last Night. Jane Lunihye, married woman of FrarJkton, was to-day acquitted in the Magistrate’s Court on a charge of unlawfully presenting a loaded revolver at a policeman. Mrs. Lnmbye had a dispute with the vendor, one White, regarding a motor cycle she had- purchased on the instalment plan. She refused to pay overdue instalments, or to relinquish the cycle, claiming its qualiiies bad been misrepresented. According to the police statement, White came frotin Auckland and called at Mrs. Lumbye’s house with two other men after 10 o’clock at night. Mrs. Lnmbye refused to admit them, saying “If you come in my bouse, I will shoot.” However, she surrendered the revolver, which held three live cartridges to a policeman whose attention was called by the noise. The Magistrate (Mr. Wilson) held (hat illegal presenting of (lie ■ evolver had not been proved, but for being in possession of an uniogistered revolver, Mrs. Lnmbye \vn« fined 10/-.
