SITE FOR CHOCOLATE FACTORY.

WE are informed that the Chamber of iComimerce will discuss at tonight’s meeting the decision of Messrs Cadbury and Fry’s to establish a factory in Ne!w Zealand and to recommend Foxton as a suitable site for the puipose. There is much to recommend the suggestion, among which may be mentioned tile equable ■climate, admirable transport facilities via the port, railway and highways, splendid water supply, drainage, electric power, up-to-date fire-fighting equipment, suitable land of the right quality and at a reasonable price, ample recreation grounds and seaside-resort for employees and a progressive Borough Council which would encourage such an industry by all means at its command. In fact Foxton possesses all the requisites for such an industry and is worthy of favourable consideration by the firm’s New Zealand representative.
