MISSING ’PLANE FOUND

CAPTAIN CHANDLER AND COMPANION SAFE. A report from Blenheim last evening reported that anxiety was being felt owing to the non-arrival of the Marlbojrough |Aero Club’s Moth ’plane, which left Parorangi, near Feilding, at 11.35 yesterday morning. The machine was piloted by Captain Noel Chandler, the club’s instructor and Mr. C. A. MacDonald, secretary of the club, was the passengerl Three ’planes that left a quarter of an hour earlier .met a severe storm in Cook ‘Strait and had difficulty in getting through. Captain Bun-ell who left a quarter of an hour after, ran into the storm seven miles south of Palmerston and was forced to return. The 'ferry steamer, Tamahine, which left Wellington at three o’clock, w'as asked to keep a lookout hut reported it was impossible to isee more than ,a quarter of a mile in the Strait. MISSING ’PLANE FOUND. The Prime Minister stated last night that, he would send out two steamers to-day to search for the missing airman but word was received at about midday to-day to the effect that the ’plane had been located at Ship’s Cove on the Marlborough coast, and the men were safe and well.
