BOWLING
WILFORD CUP WON BY J. NEWTH. The final game in the Wilford Cup competition was played on the local green this week and was won by Mr. J. Newtli. Two rinks from the local club journeyed to Shannon on Wednesday, to participate in closing games of the season by that club. One was successful in defeating its opponents. The games resulted as follows : Foxton (H. Hamer, E. Parkin, M. H. Walker, Wl IS. Heyes s.) 29 v. Shannon 7. Foxton (Stevenson, F. Robinson, J. Newth, D. Christie s.) 17 V. Shannon 22.
