I.ECKIE AND PURDY BOTH IVIN. Melbourne, April 21. Johnny Leckie outpointed Claude Wilson of U.'S.A. (8.13)., after a close contest. The American finished well. The fight was wonderfully fast and clever, Leckie predominating in the first six rounds. Wilson, who is un-used to long’ contests, landed a heavy left to Leckie’s chin in the fifteenth, which nearly ended the bout. Some spectators hooted the referee’s decision but the majority thought Leckie was the victor. 'Sydney, April 21. At the Sydney Stadium, the New Zealander, Charlie Purdy (10.3) outpointed Both La Salle (10.10 J). The loser is described as the Pacific Coast comedy tiger, who cut all sorts of antics in the ring and was cautioned several times for irregularities.
