FOOTBALL.
Poxton juniors travelled to Oroua Downs on Saturday last and played a return game with United juniors, whom they defeated by 21 points to 0. As in the previous game Eoxton were slow to get going, and United had soon scored nine points, through the agency of Hunter (2) and Scott. None of the tries were converted. Poxton were re-arranging their backs during this spell, and eventually settling down to some nice colmjbined play began to take charge of the galme, As the result of a fine passing bout Huff scored just on half time and converted his own' try. On resuming after the breather, Foxton began to show up in all departments, both back and forward. Croon soon crossed from a passing rush, Huff again goaling. Rankin was next prominent, with a dodgy run which made an opening for Chipper, who only had to ground the ball. Huff missed the goal this time. Shortly after Williams g-oalecl from a free kick, and just before time, Stniith, who was working hard, forced his way over and Hirini goaled. Time was shortly afterwards called and Foxton left the field easy victors in a game which was characterised by some pretty football.
