PERSONAL
Mr W. Roach, of the staff of the local Bank of New Zealand, is at present on three week's’ leave, which lie is spending with his parents, Mr and Mrs ,J. Roach, of Shannon. Messrs J. A. Nash, M.P., and Mr A. J. Kellow have been returned unopposed as representatives respectively of Palmerston N. and Foihling, on the Foxton Harbour Board. The death occurred on Monday of Mr AViniata Pataka at the age of 7(>. Deceased was well-known in this district and was the father of l lie Winiata family, of well-known footballers and held in the highest esteem l|>y Maori and pakeha alike in all parts of the Horowiienua district.
