VISITING r DAY TO-MORROW. To-moi'vow will be visiting day at the local green, when rinks representing all the Palmerston North Clubs will be present. Local bowlers are reminded to bring a basket to help with the catering a rra ligaments. DIXON CUP MATCH. The game for the Dixon Cup, played at Oroua Club’s green on Saturday between rinks from that club and Foxton, resulted in the home team defending their ringlit to the trophy. The game started auspiciously for Oroua, who managed to reached a total of 11 points on the fifth head before the visitors made a start. Foxton, however scored on the next six heads, and by the time the eleventh head had been played the scores stood eleven all. Play remained even from then until the 20th head. On this head Foxton had a lead of one on the board and lay four up on the green when the skips went to play, but Oroua skip’s last shot trailed kitty for four, leaving the challengers three down on the score. Oroua added another on the last head, thus winning by four.
