DIXON CUP MATCH. A game for the Dixon Cup will he played at Oroua Club’s green (Fell,ding) on Saturday when Foxton will attempt to sustain their first challenge this season. Foxton link will be: Heyes, Jno. Ross, Nye, Thomson (s). NYE FERNS MATCH. Yesterday afternoon a further match was played on the local green when the holders: Scadden, Newth, J. Thomson, Christie (s), staved off the challengers: Hamer, Heppner, Heyes, Walker (s), the scores being holders 23, challengers 19. WILFORD CUP SEMJ-FINAL. Tfie first match of the W&lford Cup singles semi-final was played yesterday when Christie 20, beat Mattar .17, in .a hard-fought game. VISITING DAY, WEDNESDAY NEXT. Wednesday of next week will be notable on the local green for the fact that five rinks representing Northern, Manawatu, Terrace Ed, Palmerston North, and Taikaroa Clubs will pay a friendly visit.
