Mr and Mrs J. M. Ban 1 have left for Napier, where Mr Bair has entered into business. Mrs E. M. S’tycli, of Aft. Eden, Auckland, has returned to her home after spendng a holiday with her brother and sister-in-law, Mr and Mrs M. E. Perreau. Dr Ritchie, Medical Officer of Health, accompanied by Mir Bennett (Senior Inspector for the Health Department) paid a visit to Foxton last week. Week-end visitors to Foxton were Messrs N. H. Nash, of Palmerston N., and J. Sbennen, of Melbourne. Both gentlemen were initiated into newspaperdom in this office, and they spent an interesting hour in the mechanical room, where they recounted their youthful experiences connected with the paper. Old newspaper files were produced and read 'with interest. Mr ,Sheimen is “reader” in the Government Printing Office in Melbourne, and Mi 1 Nash is, as is wellknown, editor and part proprietor of our Palmerston evening' contemporary.
