Messrs J. K. and R. 0. Hormblow left Foxton this morning for Kapiti Island, where they will spend the Easter holidays.. Air. J. Newton, local postmaster, is at .present on annual leave. Together with Airs. Newton he left for Auckland this afternoon. During Mr. Newtton’s absence Air. L. Bullard will officiate as postmaster. It is with regret we chronicle the death, which took place at Nelson yesterday, of Andrew, eldest son of Mr. and Airs. R, Easton, of Fox'ton. Mr. and Airs. Easton left for Nelson on Tuesday op receipt of news of Andy’s condition, and wj}l receive the sympathy of townspeople ip their loss.
