SPEED BOAT CONTEST

SEGRAVE’S SUCCESS. New York, March 20. At Miami Beach, Aliss England won the first 12 mile heat in the speed boat record Contest, when Aliss America VII was forced out in the third two mile lap with a broken quadrant, after averaging approximately 54 miles per hour. Major Segrave finished the heat in the lapsed time of 12.08 minutes. Segrave won the final.
