ißeefton, March 15. Mr. G. Black, member for Motueka, who is in Reefton, received the following telegram from Mr. John Spencer, Field Geologist: “My drillers engaged boring for gold passed through a black shale capping, releasing a large quantity of rich oil. The location of the bore is near Warwick Junction.” Mr. Veitch has made special arrangements to inspect the bore .before returning to .Canterbury. Warwick Junction is about fifteen miles from Murchison.
