The friends of Mrs. Craig of Robinson Street, will he pleased to learn that she has returned holme after undergoing an operation in the Palmerston North Hospital. The death took place at Palmerston yesterday of John, the seven-teen-year-o'ld invalid son of Mrs. R. Sorensen and the late J. Hayes. The deceased was a grandson of Mr. and Mrs. de Ridder snr., of Foxton. ‘The death occurred at Greymouth last night of Mr. Frederick Hamilton Kilgour, J.P., manager of the Greymouth Evening Star, Coy., aged 00 years. The deceased was suddenly taken ill while at work to-day and an operation later at the hospital proved unavailing. The late Mr. Kilgour Rad held his position in the Star for 38 years and was an enterprising and energetic business man. He was a native of Dunstan, Otago. He served on the Technical College Board as chairman of the finance comjinittee; he was a trustee and member of the Jockey Club District Committee, a memlber of the Education Board and High School Board, also of the Licensing Committee for fifteen years and was acting-coroner for four years. He leaves a wife and family of three daughters and three sons, one of the latter being the Rev. Father John Kilgour, of Rangiora.
