DROWNED IN A BATH.

WOMAN’S TRAGIC DEATH. Christchurch, Last Night. An inquest into the death of Ellen Rose Mansfield, a married woman who was found lying dead in the bath at her .holme on Friday 22, was concluded to-day. Nelson Mansfield, son of deceased, gave evidence of having found his mother fully dressed, in the bath, face down, on his return from school. His mother had been gardening that day. >She was subject to fainting fits. Dr. Pearson, pathologist at the hospital, who made a post mortem examination, said the cause of death was drowning. The Coroner returned a verdict that .Mrs. Mansfield 1 has been found drowned in the bath and from the evidence it appeared likely she fell into it during a fainting fit.
