TOWN HALL. There is fun enough and plot enough for two ordinary good feature comedies in “Finnegan’s Ball,” at the ToAvn Hall to-night. And it might be added, talent enough to spread over several. This much talked of ic-omedy is all that has been promised. It is ©raimmed with true and infectious Irish humor, so much so that audiences laugh until their sides ache. And there is present that touch of pathos Avithout which no Irish story could be complete —administered in just the right amounts and handled Avith masterly repression. Wjhile Charley McHugh as the diminutive and cocky Mr. Finnegan shares comedy honours Avith huge Mack. Swain, who truly is one of the geniuses of the screen. Blanche Mehaffey, plays Finnegan’s daughter, while Cullen Landis is Jimmy Flannigan, her lover. Usual prices. “THE OPENING NIGHT.” A tense and moving drama of human emotions. A poignant story of a man’s great sacrifice for those he loved. Action —gripping and throbbing—changes SAviftly against the shifting backgrounds of the theatre, the' sea and a Newfoundland fishing village. A’ page of human life Avith its queer tAvists and strange adventures, Monday night.
