TENNIS.
A meeting of the Foxton Tennis Cluib was held at Mr. L. C. Bryant’s residence on Tuesday last. Those present were: Messrs L. C. Bryant (in the chair), E. Petersen, T. Chipper, W. Ross, W. Roach, Mrs. Bryant, Misses M. Stevenson, G. ,Neylon, A. Haydoek, M. Denton and the secretary (Mr. C. Procter). The secretary’s resignation was received and accepted with deep regret. Mr. W. Roach was appointed to the position. It was decided on the motion of Messrs L. |C. Bryant and W. Ross that a minute of appreciation of Mr. Procter’s services to the club be placed on record. Members of committee were elected as follows: —Messrs K. Hirini and ,C. Procter. The following have decided to enter for the Combined Handicap Double tournament at Levin on Saturday: —Miss Stevenson and C.. Procter, Miss Denton and K. Hirini, Miss Bindon and D. Scott, Miss Woods and L. Couch, Miss Barber and E. Petersen, Miss Haydoek and L. Evans, Miss Neylon and W. Roach, Mrs. Ball and T. Chipper. The draw for the second round of the Rose Bowl is as follows: — Mrs. Ball v. Iv. Roore, M. Stevenson v. Mrs. Stanley, G. Neylon v. A. Ashlbv, Mrs. Austin v. E. Patterson, L. Thompson v. N. Woods, A. Haydock v. Z. Easton, M. Denton v. Mrs. Doel, Miss M’ountfort v. R. King, Miss Bindon v. Miss Padgett. MEN’S CUP—2nd ROUND. Messrs L. Bryant v. D. Ball, R. Ball v. W. Roach, T. Chipper v.
