FIRST DAY AT BULLS. The Rangitikei Racing Club’s annual meeting opened at Bulls in shoAvery weather yesterday. The attendance Avas good. The totalisator handled £13,521 for the day, as against £13,849 for the first day last year, a drop of £328. Results : Oliakea Hack Hurdles: —Novar (J. Blanche) 1, Airtight 2, Hymestrason (C. Robinson) 3. Heads separated the placed horses. Time 2.52 2-5. Trial Plateßkyrider 1, Grattan 2. Lady Lucerne 3. Won by tAvo lengths each way. Time 1.17. Rangitikei Cup:—-Cashier 1, Star Area 2, Imperial Spark 3. Won by half a length. Time 2.10 1-5. Ngatiapa Hack Handicap: —Patearoa 1, Acred 2, Vinella 3. Won by half a length. Time 1.13 4-5. Scott Memorial Handicap: —The Raider 1, Ci'mabue 2, Dobbin 3. Won by half a length.. Time I.l’ 4-5. Pukenui Hack Handicap: —Thrift and Balloon, dead heat, 1, Kilburn 3. The third horse, was three lengths aAVay.. 'Time 1.52 3-5. (Clifton Highweight Handicap: — Gold Cure 1, High Falutin 2, Royal Da|mon 3. Heads betAveen the placed horses. 'Time 1.28.
