Mrs. W. Signal and Mrs. Seabiiry are at present on holiday in the -Taranaki district. Mr. G. Huntley, borough road foreman, was able to resume duty yesterday for the first time after his recent accident. Mr. W. E. Bullard returned from a holiday visit to Christchurch on Monday. Mrs. Bullard ‘will be returning in about a week’s time. Mr. and Mrs. I. Cora are at present in Napier, where Mr. Corn is Ci tending the Pharmaceutical conference. The friends of Mrs. Satherley snr., will be pleased to learn that she is making good progress towards recovery after a serious operation in the Northcote Private Hospital at Palmerston North. Mi'S. D. Christie left, on Tuesday evening for Auckland to attend the wedding of her son, Mr. J. IC. Christie to .Clodagh, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. Barnard, of Foxton. Mss, Florence Chalk, head of the sales staff at Mr. P. Meyers’ Levin, who was operated upon recently for appendicitis, has Imade a splendid recovery and resumed her duties again on Tuesday (says the Chronicle). The youth ,W. Hiriui, who fractured his thigh in a motor accident while en route to the local seaside On (Sunday, is making good progress iu the Palmerston hospital. In a cheerful note to the editor he desires us to convey to friends and members of the swimming club his thanks for enquiries.
