SHANNON DEFEATS FOXTON. On Saturday members of the Shannon Tennis Club journeyed to Foxton to meet the local Club in a friendly match and were successful in defeating the home team by 14 sets to 10, the aggregate points showing Shannon 129 and Foxton 108. An enjoyable time was spent on the green and afternoon tea wits provided iby the local ladies. Play resulted as follows, Foxton players being mentioned first: — Men’s singles: L. Bryant 7v. J.
