SHOTS FIRED AT JACK DEMPSEY.

Miami Beach (Florida), Feb. 25. Jack Dempsey lias notified the police that he was shot at in his bedroom by an unidentified man in the early morning. Dem'psey sidestepped as the shot was fired and the bullet embedded itself in the wall. The unknown assailant disappeared as mysterious as he came, and Demlpsey was unable to offer any theory regarding the (motive of the attack. The police have provided Dempsey with two bodyguards.
