There is something mystic and beautiful about a calm clear moonlight night such as was experienced last night. The stillness however, may convey ethereal sounds to the canine ear to which the human ear is not attuned. Prehaps that was the reason for the mournful and continuous howling of dogs, which disturbed the slumbers in many households, and called forth imprecations against the canine family and owners who apparently made no attempt to stop the nuisance.
